![]() I had zero dress regret from the moment I made my first payment and would recommend this place to anyone. As someone who hates shopping and was terrified of this whole process, I am so happy I chose this shop because of how comfortable they made me feel. She had me walk around in it to make sure I was comfortable and on my last appointment, she showed my stepmom how to properly bustle the dress and was so patient as my dad stood there taking a video so she would remember how to do it the day of. ![]() She was very easy to work with, recommended a bustle style to me and a hem length (she took just the right amount off but said if I wanted more I could). I worked with Diana and had 3 appointments. The salon had a flat fee for alterations (at the time I went it was $595) and it was worth every penny because my seamstress was AMAZING. When it did come, I scheduled an appointment to go try it on because I was excited, something the store had no issue with. I was told it would take 8-10 months to arrive, which was accurate (I ordered February 2022 and it arrived November 2022). After she took my measurements she even confirmed with me that everything was correct and that based on those measurements I should order this particular size. That is absolutely not the case here and not once did they make me feel bad about the size I am or that I should feel pressured to diet before the wedding. I have seen so many horror stories of brides being improperly measured at the salon and being told that most people lose weight to fit into a dress. I made a second appointment to go back and try on the dress I knew I wanted and said yes! The most important part is that the woman helping me took accurate measurements. I thought I found the one, but didn’t want to buy anything the first day I tried on, so I decided to sleep on it. I'm sure I would like this stuff, I mean, on principle. There's A LOT of stuff that I didn't get to play or delve into this year that deserves mention: Tomb Raider, Zeno Clash II, Antichamber, Outlast, Ittle Dew, The Swapper, A Link Between Worlds, etcetera. The Last of Us (Really surprised I liked it so much). The Journey Down: Chapter One (Steam release in 2013).Ĩ. The Cat Lady (Original release in 2012, Released on Steam in 2013).ħ. Neat picks, guys! I, uh, have yet to play any of them! This year seemed to splinter people into pursuing a lot of little side games that fit their niches.Ģ. Android Netrunner is so good! It's my real game of the year even though I think it technically came out in 2012. I have yet to try Rogue Legacy, though my girlfriend has now become hooked on it. I believe Square-Enix have confirmed there will be another Tomb Raider from Crystal Dynamics. I doubt it'll work for everybody, and it's all an illusion in the end because no matter what happens you'll just start again from the last checkpoint but when you come down to it all games are illusionary what matters is the veracity and coherence of that illusion. It manages to achieve this absolutely appropriate sense of messiness in the combat without resorting to mechanics that are themselves messy or unclear. Tomb Raider was probably my favourite game this year too (with an exception I'll get) and I agree with Jorge across the board. I'm with both of you on Gone Home, for me it was particularly interesting how it uses a lot of the language of the "immersive sim", and echos how you explored and interacted with the environment in System Shock or Thief. For her to turn from damsel to literal "spider woman" was so frustrating that it overshadowed the entire ending for me. How did you two feel about the ultimate fate of the older brother? For me the decision to follow the woman into the cave and what then happens inside felt out of character, and a reliance on a trite and sexist trope. After listening to you two I wish my experience with Brothers had been more positive. ![]() The enormous task of persuasive writing is broken down into small manageable pieces.Įxample 3: Writing a Paragraph Graphic Organizer This organizer is based on the divide and conquer strategy.
